Holy Trinity Church, 850 Balls Hill Road, McLean:

McLean Presbyterian Church, 1020 Balls Hill Road, McLean:

Christmas Eve Family Celebration: 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. in the church sanctuary. From the church's website: "This festive service to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ is especially for families with preschoolers age four through sixth grade. Come and sing carols and hear the Christmas story!"

Christmas Eve Candlelight Services: Two services, one at 6 p.m. and another at 8 p.m., in the church sanctuary. According to the church: "These beautiful services will celebrate the birth of Jesus with the accompaniment of strings and organ. We will continue the tradition of ending these services by lighting candles and singing Silent Night."

Childcare for children 3 and under is available for the family celebration and for children 5 and under for the 6 p.m. service.Click here for the registration link. Register by Sunday, Dec. 22.

McLean Baptist Church, 1367 Chain Bridge Road, McLean:

McLean Baptist Church will host a traditional worship service at 7 p.m. and a candlelight worship and Lord's Supper at 11 p.m.,according to the church calendar. Both services are in the church sanctuary.

Trinity United Methodist Church, 1205 Dolley Madison Blvd., McLean:

Trinity has three services on Christmas Eve.

The 5 p.m. family service is geared toward children, the Rev. Jim Sprouse, the church's lead pastor, said in a video invitation. "It's a beautiful service," he says in the video. "It's filled with some of the most wonderful music you'll hear, and the children get to participate in the service itself. I think you'll have a marvelous time celebrating with your child."

Candlelight Communion services will be held at 8 and 10 p.m. and will feature sermons, prayers and songs, according to the video invitation.

Saint John's Episcopal Church, 6715 Georgetown Pike, McLean:

Saint John's will have three services of Holy Eucharist on Christmas Eve, at 4, 7 and 10 p.m. The 4 p.m. family service is especially designed for families with young children, according to the church's website.  The 7 p.m. traditional service of Holy Eucharist will feature familiar carols.

Christmas music begins 30 minutes before each service.

On Christmas Day, the church invites you to celebrate with Holy Eucharist and the singing of familiar carols at 10 a.m.

St. John the Beloved, 6420 Linway Terrace, McLean:

St. John the Beloved Catholic Church will hold a Vigil Mass at 5 p.m. on Christmas Eve with the parish choir, according to the church's most recent bulletin

A musical prelude will begin at 11:15 p.m., which will lead into a Midnight Mass featuring traditional Latin music.

Lewinsville Presbyterian Church, 1724 Chain Bridge Road, McLean:

The church will hold a Family Worship Service at 4:30 p.m. featuring an impromptu Christmas pageant and the children's choir. 

Candlelight communion services will be held at 7 and 9:30 p.m. The Rev. Deborah McKinley will deliver "Facetime with God." The first service will feature the Chancel Choir and Jubilate Bell Choir.  The late service will feature the Westminster Choir and Alleluia Bell Choir.

From the church: Saint Dunstan's Episcopal Church will celebrate Christmas with three services December 24 and 25: A Children's Christmas Pageant and Eucharist Service at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 24; a Candlelight Service of Carols and Eucharist at 10:30 p.m. that evening; and a Christmas morning Eucharist with guitars at 10:00 a.m. on Dec. 25. All are welcome! Please join us.
