Credit where it's NOT due

The other day I returned home to find literature in support of Barbara Comstock, my local state Delegate, hanging on my door.  I was surprised, in reading through it, to find gross inaccuracies.

I assume that this campaign piece was intended to highlight Ms. Comstock's achievements.  Why, then would she include this statement: "Funded 1.700 more in-state spots for our college students"?  I fact, o 2/23/13, Ms. Comstock voted AGAINST HB1500,the budget bill that provided funding for the additional in-state slots.  This information does not come from the media.  You can find the entire history of the budget bill on any number of Virginia state websites. You can go to lis.virginia.gov, or leg1.state.va.us, and track HB1500.

Why on earth would she take credit for this initiative, which is widely supported by my community, if she actually voted against it?  Ms. Comstock must think that no one will bother to check the facts in the literature she hands out. It also leads me to wonder what other misleading statements she might be making.  Don't voters deserve the truth from their representatives?
