UPDATE 4:01pm. Power has been restored in the Potomac Hills neighborhood following a morning accident in which a car struck a power line.
The Dominion Power website shows no customers outages in that area.
ORIGINAL STORY: A car hit a utility pole at Kirby Road and Claiborne drive shotly after 6 a.m. closing Kirby and knocking out power to the nearby community including Potomac Hills.

Dominion Power reported that about 40 customers were without power because of the accident. Dominion estimated power restoration no later than 3p.m.
Fairfax Couunty police said there were no injuries associated with the accident.
