Fairfax County Police Department provides a searchable map for crime incidents in your neighborhood. The department notes the data represents what responding officers are determining through preliminary investigation. Further investigation may find no crime occurred or that the circumstances were different than first determined.

We've listed particular calls below highlighted in daily crime reports. Where an arrest is mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Alcohol Enforcement

DIRECTED PATROL, 7/4/14. Officers from the Mount Vernon Police District patrolled the county searching for drunk drivers. Three drivers were charged with DWI. Five summonses were issued.

DIRECTED PATROL, 7/5/14. Officers from the Operational Support Bureau patrolled the county searching for drunk drivers. No drivers were charged with DWI. Fifty-six summonses were issued.

DIRECTED PATROL, 7/5/14. Officers from the Reston Police District patrolled the county searching for drunk drivers. No drivers were charged with DWI. Two summonses and eight warnings were issued.

BURGLARY, 14700 block of Pan Am Avenue, 7/6/14. A resident reported someone entered the residence and took property.

BURGLARY, 8500 block of Laguna Court, 7/3/14. A resident reported someone entered the residence and took property.

PEEPING, 8300 block of Brockham Drive, 7/4/14, 9:37 p.m. A resident looked out the window and saw a man looking into the room. The suspect fled prior to police arrival. The suspect was described as black, 20-30 and about 6 feet tall with a thin build.

McLean District

MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 7100 block of Leesburg Pike, 7/4/14, 10:20 p.m. A 65-year-old woman was sitting in a shopping center parking lot with a group of friends watching fireworks. An unknown male approached the woman from behind and stabbed her in the upper body. The suspect fled on foot and a witness gave chase but lost sight of him. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of her serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect was described as white, possibly 18 to 20 years old, with short blonde hair. He was wearing a white tank top and shorts.

ROBBERY, Pine Spring Road/Willow Lane, 7/5/14, 3 a.m. The victim was walking when two suspects approached him. The suspects assaulted the victim and took cash and property from him. The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The suspects were described as black males in their 20s.

BURGLARY, 1900 block of Chain Bridge Road, 7/8/14. An employee reported someone entered the business and took property.


Mason District

BURGLARY, 5600 block of Columbia Pike, 7/3/14. An employee reported someone entered the business and took property.

BURGLARY, 3100 block of Chichester Lane, 7/6/14. A resident reported someone entered the residence and took property.

BURGLARY, 3500 block of South George Mason Drive, 7/6/14. A resident reported someone entered the apartment and took property.

ROBBERY, 6400 block of Columbia Pike, 7/6/14, 5:16 p.m. A suspect entered a gas station and displayed a knife to an employee. A brief struggle occurred between the suspect and the employee. The suspect took cash and fled. The victim was treated on scene for non-life threatening injuries. The suspect was described as a black male, 35-40, about 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall and weighing around 190 pounds.

ROBBERY, 4900 block of Beauregard Street, 7/10/14, 8 p.m. The victim was walking when two suspects approached him. The suspects assaulted the victim and took property from him. The victim resisted and all three suspects fled on foot. The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The suspects were described as black males, 15-20,


Franconia District

BURGLARY, 6500 block of Backlick Road, 7/5/14. An employee reported someone entered the business and took property.

West Springfield District

BURGLARY, 4700 block of Medford Drive, 7/8/14, 1:16 a.m. Police responded to an alarm at Annandale High School and observed two suspects fleeing from the school on foot. A canine officer tracked the two suspects and took them into custody. Charges are pending on a 17-year-old Annandale area male and a 16-year-old Annandale area male. There was no reported damage inside the school.

BURGLARY, 9000 block of John Sutherland Lane, 7/8/14. A resident reported someone entered the residence and took property.


Fair Oaks District

INDECENT EXPOSURE, 11200 block of Lee Jackson Highway, 7/10/14, 6:34 p.m. A woman was walking in a parking lot when a man exposed himself.  The suspect was described as black, 20’s and about 5 feet 7 inches tall.


Animal Control Division

ANIMAL/RABIES, 2200 block of Richelieu Drive, 7/2/14, 7:27 a.m. (McLean Police District Station) An Animal Control Officer was called for a report of an injured raccoon in a residential neighborhood. The officer was able to capture and euthanize the raccoon, which subsequently tested positive for rabies. Two dogs exposed to the raccoon were routinely quarantined.
