Emergency Responders Fight Fire at Tysons Galleria

The ventilation system of a restaurant caught fire Friday.

The Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department is currently on scene at Tysons Galleria, checking for extensions of a fire that started in one of the mall restaurant's ventilation systems.

At 12:15 p.m., Capt. William Moreland with the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department said the "small fire" has been extinguished. The mall is open for business. No injuries have been reported and the mall was never evacuated.

Moreland was not certain which restaurant the fire orginated in because the ventilation systems are accessed from the mall's roof.
