Former McLean Teacher Pleads Guilty to Molesting Students

Abuse occurred decades ago.

Decades after sexually abusing several girls from McLean's Potomac School, Christopher Kloman, 74, has pleaded guilty to the charges in Fairfax County Circuit Court.

Kloman had been an instructor and sports coach at the private school, and an investigation into allegations against him began in late 2011 when a former student contacted police, saying he had molested her in the 1960s, when she was 12.

Before contacting police, the woman confronted Kloman by phone, prosecutors told The Washington Post.

Kloman, when contacted by police, acknowledged several cases of abuse, the paper reported.

He pleaded guilty to four counts of indecent liberties with a child under 14 and one count of abduction with intent to defile, all involving four victims, the Post reported.
