A summary of the latest McLean incidents, arrests reported by Fairfax County police

Fairfax County Police logged the following incidents in the McLean area during the week ending Sept. 5.

VEHICLE PURSUIT, 8/29/12, 6:45 p.m. Officers attempted to stop a vehicle on I66 near Rt 28. The vehicle allegedly accelerated away and the officers pursued. Several officers including State Police and Fairfax 1 (helicopter) chased the vehicle to Tysons Boulevard and Rt 123. Charles Lawton, 44, of Washington, DC. was arrested and charged with felony habitual offender, felony eluding police and having unapproved stickers on the windshield.

ATTEMPTED BURGLARY, 8300 block of Riding Ridge Place, 9/01/12, 4:40 a.m. Homeowner reported someone entered two unlocked vehicles that were parked in an open garage. The suspect then opened the unlocked door to the home which sounded the alarm. Nothing was taken.

BURGLARY, 1000 block of Kimberwicke Road, 9/01/12, 7:30 a.m. Homeowner reported cash stolen from an unlocked car parked inside his garage. The side door to the garage was left unlocked.

BURGLARY, 900 block of Banbury Court, 9/01/12, 9 a.m. Resident reported someone stole money from an unlocked car parked inside the garage. Entry was made through an unlocked side door in the garage.

BURGLARY, 1700 block of Margie Drive, 09/02/12. Unknown subject(s) broke into McLean Swim and Tennis Association and destroyed property. No suspect information.

Animal Control Division — Countywide

ANIMAL BITE, 2400 block of Jackson Parkway, 8/31/12, 6 a.m. A 69-year-old man was bitten on his finger by a feral cat.
