McLean Crime Blotter: Burglaries Reported in McLean

Two residential and one business robbery in the McLean police district were reported to Fairfax County Police recently. One man was robbed.

The following incident information was obtained from the Activity Report provided by Fairfax County Police Department’s Public Information Office. The incidents included are at the discretion of the PIO and are not to be considered all-inclusive.

Fairfax County Police logged the following incidents in the McLean Police District, which includes Merrifield, Dunn Loring, Falls Church, McLean, Tysons Corner and Great Falls.

The report contains information from Jan. 31 through Feb. 6. In that time, Fairfax County Police reported 22 charges related to domestic violence, 92 charges related to drugs, and 81 charges related to DWIs across the county.

BURGLARY, 8200 block of Boone Boulevard, 11 a.m. Jan. 31, 2013: Several businesses reported someone entered each business and stole several items to include a camcorder and checks. Forced entry was made through the front door.

BURGLARY, 6600 block of Madison McLean Drive, 8:45 p.m. Feb. 2, 2013: A resident reported someone entered the home and stole cash. Entry was made through an unsecured rear door.

BURGLARY, 6900 block of Idylwood Road, 2:40 a.m. Feb. 5, 2013: A resident reported someone entered the home, but nothing was stolen. Entry was made through an open garage door.

ROBBERY, 8000 block of Pantano Place, 7:30 p.m. Feb. 6, 2013: A 25-year-old man was walking home on a path. Two men approached and pushed him to the ground, brandished a handgun, and demanded money. The victim challenged the suspects and was shot with a BB. He was not injured. The suspects took a cell phone and fled. Both suspects were described as black males, 22 to 25 years old, approximately 6’ and 165 lbs. They were wearing blue jeans, sweatshirts, and masks.
