McLean Crime Blotter: Graffiti, Robberies Reported

The following incident information was obtained from the Activity Report provided by Fairfax County Police Department’s Public Information Office. The incidents included are at the discretion of the PIO and are not to be considered all-inclusive.

Fairfax County Police logged the following incidents in the McLean Police District, which includes Merrifield, Dunn Loring, greater Falls Church, McLean, Tysons Corner and Great Falls. (See a map of the district here.)

The report contains information for the week that ended Wednesday, Feb. 13. In that time across all of Fairfax County, police reported:

• 34 charges related to domestic violence
• 89 charges related to drugs
• 75 charges related to DWIs.

Addresses listed indicate block numbers, not necessarily a specific address. Where arrests are mentioned, they do not indicate a conviction.

ROBBERY, 6500 block of Little River Turnpike, 3:50 p.m. Feb. 7. A 25-year-old male clerk at a business confronted a man attempting to steal cigarettes. The suspect pushed the clerk, but fled without taking anything.

GRAFFITI, 6100 block of Arlington Boulevard, 3:15 p.m. Feb. 11. A vehicle owner found spray painted words on her car. There are no suspects.

ROBBERY, 4100 block of Fairfax Parkway, 4:45 p.m., Feb. 11. A 13-year-old boy was walking when three boys attacked him and took his phone. They handed the phone to two girls standing near-by. The victim was able to break free, grab his phone, and flee. He was not injured.
