The following incident information was obtained from the Activity Report provided by Fairfax County Police Department’s Public Information Office. The incidents included are at the discretion of the PIO and are not to be considered all-inclusive.
Fairfax County Police logged the following incidents in the McLean Police District. (See a map of the district here.)
The report contains information for the week that ended Wednesday, Feb. 20. In that time across all of Fairfax County, police reported:
- 21 charges related to domestic violence
- 66 charges related to drugs
- 50 charges related to DWIs.
Addresses listed indicate block numbers, not necessarily a specific address. Where arrests are mentioned, they do not indicate a conviction.
ASSAULT, 7800 block of Leesburg Pike, 5 a.m. Feb. 16 - Officers responded for a suspicious person. They found a man allegedly intoxicated. When officers attempted to arrest the man, he allegedly kicked an officer. The 25-year-old man from Arlington was charged with drunk in public and assault on a police officer.
ASSAULT, Segundo Place/Seven Woods Drive, 1:30 p.m. Feb. 16 - Two men got into an argument which led to a fight. One of the two men was charged with assault.
BURGLARY, 8100 block of Strawberry Lane, 9:30 p.m. eb. 19 - A resident reported someone entered their home and stole jewelry and cash. There were no signs of forced entry.
