McLean Crime Blotter: Nov. 15-20

A summary of the latest McLean incidents, arrests reported by Fairfax County police. Where an arrest is mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Fairfax County Police logged the following incidents in the McLean Police District during the week ending Nov. 20.

  • BURGLARY, 6600 block of Old Dominion Drive, 11/16/12, 7 a.m. An employee reported someone broke the glass on the front door of the business. An investigation revealed that cash was stolen.
  • DISORDERLY, 1700 block of Galleria at Tysons, 11/16/12, 7 p.m. Officers were called to a disorderly conduct. The victim, a cab driver, reported a man called for a cab, but the cab broke down. The suspect allegedly urinated on one of the tires, began yelling racial slurs, and after entering, refused to exit the vehicle. Frank Nkunda, 25, of Springfield, was charged with disorderly conduct, indecent exposure, and drunk in public.
  • *Former Teacher Charged with Sex Assaults
  • BURGLARY, 1900 block of Gallows Road, 11/17/12, 2 p.m. A manager reported someone entered the business and stole several laptop computers. Forced entry was made through a side door.
  • BURGLARY, 1300 Kirby Road, 11/17/12, 4:15 p.m. A resident reported someone entered the home and stole several items to include electronic equipment. Entry was made through an unlocked sliding door.
  • DWI CHECK POINT, Lee Highway/Hunter Road, 11/17/12, A Driving While Intoxicated check point was conducted. Approximately, 425 vehicles were screened. One driver was charged with DWI. Five were charged with driving with no operator’s license. One was charged with reckless driving. Two were charged with possession of marijuana.
  • BURGLARY, 900 block of Saddleback Court, 11/19/12, 8 a.m. A resident reported someone entered the home and stole a purse. Entry was made using a garage door opener which was taken from an unlocked vehicle.
  • TRESPASSING, 7200 block of Robert Lane, 11/20/12, 6:20 p.m. Officers were called for a man who allegedly entered a vacant unit. Noe Rojas, 26, of no fixed address, was charged with trespassing and drunk in public.

  • Cash and tools stolen from vehicle on Arlington Boulevard
  • Purse stolen from business on Balls Hill Road
  • Cart full of detergent stolen from business on Chain Bridge Road
  • Two purses stolen from business on Chain Bridge Road
  • Leather jacket and coats stolen from business on International Drive
  • Wallet stolen from business on Iroquois Lane
  • Pair of shoes stolen from vehicle on Kirby Road
  • Purse stolen from vehicle on Maddux Lane
  • Hammer drill, saw, weed eater and camera stolen from residence on Madison Place
  • Cell phone stolen from Marshall High School
  • Purse stolen from business on Nutley Street
  • Purse stolen from vehicle on Nutley Street
  • Eight frames stolen from business in Tysons Corner Center
  • Wallet stolen from residence on Twisting Tree Lane
  • Workbag stolen from vehicle on Westpark Drive
  • Purse stolen from vehicle on Wilson Lane

  • Kawasaki motorcycle stolen from Marshall Heights Court
  • Nissan Quest stolen from Tysons Corner Center

Animal Control Division (Countywide):

  • ANIMAL BITE, 4700 block of Mount Vernon Memorial Highway, 11/15/12, 4 p.m. Animal Control Officers were notified of a victim who was bit at the dog park. The victim’s dog was fighting another dog, a Catahoula mix. The victim was separating the dogs when she was bitten. The victim was not seriously injured. The Catahoula was routinely quarantined.
  • *Animal Control Effort Saves Elderly Owl
  • ANIMAL BITE, Crosswoods Drive/Dearborn Drive, 11/19/12, 9:45 p.m. Victim reported being bitten by an adult, white standard poodle. The dog was in the company of two women. The dog was routinely quarantined.
