Officers Terence Stokes and Wahid Alam responded to a woman who had fallen from the inside, third-level balcony of Tysons Galleria Mall. She sustained severe injuries to her entire body, including broken bones and a fractured skull.

The officers immediately took over for a private physician performing CPR. Both officers continued CPR until the arrival of the fire department.

Despite the best efforts of the officers and medics, the woman died of her injuries. PFC Stokes and PFC Alam selflessly put themselves at risk of exposure to blood borne diseases, but neither man hesitated to help.
