This Week: Police Seek Help in Locating a Suspected McLean Bank Robber

Crime incidents reported by Fairfax County police  in the two McLean zip codes 22101 and 22102 for the period ending May 25, 2011.

 

Number Street Crime Details Bank Robbery  Fairfax County Crime Solvers is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the man responsible for robbing four banks, including two in the McLean area.   1311 Dolley Madison Boulevard One bank robbery occurred on Friday, May 6 around 11 a.m. A man entered the Wachovia Bank at 1311 Dolley Madison Boulevard, in McLean displayed a gun and demanded money. The suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of cash. The victim did not require medical treatment. At 10 a.m. a man entered the United Bank at 2071 Chain Bridge Road, in Vienna. He brandished a handgun and demanded money from the teller, a 56-year-old woman. The suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of cash. There were no injuries.
