McLean Weekly List of Residents Charged with Offenses

This Week: Prominent Local Businessman Charged with DWI

List of McLean residents who were charged with offenses by Fairfax County police for the week ending May 25, 2011. The names are taken from the list that Fairfax County police publishes weekly.

Robert L. Simmons, a well-known McLean custom-home builder, was charged with driving while intoxicated on May 20.

Mr. Simmons is President of Mayfair Homes, Inc, a prominent custom home building company in the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan area. The Georgetown Pike resident is also head of Robert L. Simmons and Associates, LLC, a land development company, and RLS Associates, Inc., a sales and marketing company.

He is an active supporter of the Democratic Party; but he most recently contributed to Republican Keith Fimian’s 2010 Congressional election campaign. This was his first D.W.I. offense.
