Neighbors Ask About Incident at Safeway

Some of the neighbors asked about an incident they witnessed at the Anderson Road Safeway Saturday. Here are the details from the Fairfax County police:

On Saturday, March 5 just after 3 p.m. a man and woman became involved in a domestic argument inside the Safeway store, located at 1688 Anderson Road. The woman was an employee at the store.

The man reportedly moved toward the woman behind the counter and another male employee blocked him. The suspect allegedly assaulted the male employee and several other people stepped in to assist the employee.

Police arrived and took the suspect, William Brown, 22, of 1726 Olney Road in Falls Church, into custody. Both he and the male employee were treated for minor injuries. Brown was taken to the jail and charged with simple assault and trespassing.
