Suspicious Incident Near Langley High School Monday

Fairfax County Police Alerted

Langley High School sent out this note Tuesday afternoon: It came to our attention this morning that an adult male was acting suspiciously and inappropriately yesterday along the path adjacent to Georgetown Pike between Langley High School and Mackall Avenue.  The subject was described as an African American, male, 20-30 years old.  He is approximately 5’10” with a medium to stocky build.

Around 3 p.m., Monday, April 25, the subject exposed himself to a female jogger.  The jogger ignored the behavior and contacted police.  The police investigated and did not find the subject.

Students will be alerted to the subject’s potential presence today as they exit school grounds and walk toward that area.  Langley High School administrative and security staff, which includes a member of the Fairfax County Police Department, will have an increased presence in this area at dismissal today and for the next few school days.  There is no need to be alarmed.  Students will be in sight of an adult throughout their walk along that area.

Sports teams have been directed to avoid that area for warm up jogging until further notice.

If you see anything suspicious please contact the Fairfax County Police Department at 703-691-2131.
