Tree Falls on Home, More than 1,000 Without Power in McLean

Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department responded to downed tree on Addey Court.

As of 7 p.m. Monday, Dominion Power is reporting more than 1,000 homes and businesses are without power in McLean.

Fire officials also responded to a call for help Monday on the 2000 block of Addey Court in McLean after a tree fell on a home there.

Dan Schmidt, a spokesman for the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department, said no injuries were reported and the house did not appear to suffer major structural damage.

The tree is laying on top of the roof, Schmidt said.
