Beltway Lane Closings Cancelled Tonight

 The previously scheduled closures of the three right lanes of northbound I-495 at Route 123 and the related exits to Route 123 north and southbound from I-495 in Tysons Corner are cancelled for overnight tonight, Wednesday, March 16.
 
Weather permitting, these closures are expected to resume Thursday, March 17, and continue through Friday, March 18, from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m.

The Dulles Corridor Metrorail Project which is building the tracks for the new Silver Line gave no reason for the cancelllations.
 
After the Friday night work, drivers can expect to see permanently affixed bridge segments over a portion of the beltway. Drivers should not be alarmed, officials said.
 
Motorists should still expect frequent, overnight closures in this area for the remainder of this year as construction of the subway track the Capital Beltway continues.

In addition, the following full closures also are cancelled for tonight: I-66 west at the Dulles Connector Road (Route 267)
Southbound Route 123 at the Dulles Connector Road (Route 267).
