I-495 Overnight Lane Closures Cancelled Through June 5

Subway Construction

The previously scheduled overnight closures of multiple lanes of northbound I-495 at Route 123 are cancelled beginning tonight.

The cancellations of the closings were announced by The Dulles Corridor Metrorail Project, the folks building the subway. The closings were planned as part of the construction of the new Silver Line subway  through Tysons Corner. The tracks soar above the Beltway.

Weather permitting, these closures are expected to resume Sunday, June 5, from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Motorists should still expect frequent, overnight closures in this area for the remainder of the year as construction of the bridge over the I-495 Capital Beltway continues.
