Beltway Closing Through Tysons Corner Tonight,Thursday Morning

The Capital Beltway through Tysons Corner will almost totally for up to 10 minutes at a time tonight and into the wee hours of Thursday morning.

Drivers should expect a 10-minute closure of ALL lanes between 1 a.m. and 3 a.m. to allow crews to move a large crane out of the work area and five- minute total closures at approximately 11 p.m.
 
The set-up for these lane closures is expected to begin as early as 9:30 p.m.

Three lanes of both northbound and southbound Interstate I-495 at Route 123 in Tysons Corner will be closed  because of Dulles Corridor Metrorail Project construction.
 
The lanes involved are:
 Northbound I-495
Three left lanes of northboundI-495 - closed from Leesburg Pike (Route 7) to Route 123.
Southbound I-495
Three left lanes of southboundI-495 - closed from 1,500 feet north of Lewinsville Road to Route 123.

More Bad News:  Magarity Road closes at 9 p.m.

Magarity Road is scheduled to be closed at the Dulles Connector Road (Route 267) overpass between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m.
 
The closing is necessary for safety reasons while crews work on the new bridge that will carry tracks for the Dulles Corridor Metrorail Project in the median of the Dulles Connector Road across Magarity Road.
