McDonnell Signs Repeal of Gun Ban

Gun purchases no longer limited to one a month.

Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell (R) signed a bill Tuesday that

The bill law was passed in 1993, when Virginia was a haven for gun runners.

McDonnell said earlier this month he would sign the bill, which was passed by the General Assembly on Feb. 15.

The signing comes after McDonnell met with families of people killed or injured in the April 2007 shooting rampage at Virginia Tech, the worst mass shooting in U.S. history. The families had hoped to persuade him to veto the bill.

He ran on a platform saying its all about jobs, our economy and getting government out of our lives (not his life, he is a professional "governmentor"). Instead our Governor leads the charge in restricting voter rights and increasing state control of a women's right to choose. After denouncing an airport security pat down as intrusive invasion of privacy, he then leaps to support a vaginal penetration law. Then he moves on to re affirm the Commonwealth as the gun runner to the nation, during the week of another school hand gun tragedy. He embodies the politics du jour of promoting fear, anti science and - my religion is better than yours. In a bizarre turn of optimism, thank you for exposing the actual agenda. You have awakened an educated intellect. I'm sure many hope you are chosen for VP so there can be a national referendum on the leadership values which you represent -once and for all.

You may want to stop looking through those media colored glasses. Mr. McDonnell has done quite a bit in terms of promoting existing jobs in VA as well as promoting future and emerging jobs in VA. He's done quite a bit to help out the efforts of NOVA companies like Orbital.

This guy is a walking contradiction, promoting existing jobs??? Well come on now, I think the federal government is the biggest promoter of existing jobs. After all we whine and complain about how big the Federal Government is in our lives, cry about paying a little extra taxes to force healthcare companies to compete for your business. Traffic is a mess, because we want to live in big box mansions while sucking off the tit of the Government, hoping for just another big defense contract. Really, we cry and cry about social programs, but no one cries when Homeland Security has out grown it's purpose, or when we sub contract out for the D.O.D for marginal services in some cases. McDonnell signs a bill that is going to expedite the easy sale of handguns in bulk, semi automatic weapons, automatic weapons, they should just open up a drive thru on I 95 so all the major cities can get their weapons sooner. Don't get me started on the vaginal probes this guy was okay with until the protesters got to him. He's another half baked conservo-has been.
