More 30-Minute Overnight Beltway Closings, Day,Night Lane Closures on I-66 at Toll Road

This week's motoring madness through Tysons Corner

TEMPORARY TOTAL CLOSURES  overnight of up to 30 minutes on I-495 north and south from Old Dominion Drive to Lee Highway overpass and at Little River Turnpike, on I-495 north at Gallows Road, on I-66 east and west from I-495 to Nutley Street, on Chain Bridge Road north and south at I-495.

FULL ROAD CLOSURES overnight of  I-495 north and south at Arlington Boulevard, I-495 north/west (Inner Loop) at I-395 and Little River Turnpike east at I-495.

Day, Night Lane Closures on I-66 at Dulles Connector Road (Route 267)
 
The left lane of both westbound and eastbound I-66 will continue to be closed Mondays through Thursday, 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and Fridays, 9:30 a.m. to noon, from the Dulles Connector Road (Route267) split to the Great Falls Street overpass. In addition, the eastbound left lane also will be closed from 9:30 p.m. to 5 a.m. weeknights, and 9:30 p.m. to 9 a.m. overnight Friday.
 
These lanes are closed to allow for the continuing retaining wall and other concrete work at that flyover.
 
Station Construction, Utility Work, Paving to Cause Overnight Closures along Route 7 at Spring Hill, Westpark/Gosnell Intersections
 
Construction of the future Tysons West Station in the median of Leesburg Pike (Route 7) between Spring Hill Road and Tyco Road/Westwood Center Drive is ramping up. Overnight crews will be performing overhead bridge work in and near the station, which will require the closure of part of the intersection.
 
In addition, crews will continue the installation of a major water main at the same intersection. Motorists will be directed to detour using alternate cross streets along Route 7. Police will be onsite for motorist safety during the overnight hours.
 
Paving activities also are scheduled in the overnight hours next week. Noise warning: Every effort will be made to minimize the noise associated with this work. However, paving is an extremely dangerous activity and will require the full use of backup alarms to ensure workers' s safety.

Utility Work, Lane Closures Planned along Eastbound Dulles Connector Road (Route 66) near I-66 Junction Sept. 29-30
 
More utility work along the Dulles Connector Road (Route 267) is planned for daytime weekdays next week, along with night work on Thursday, Sept. 29 and Friday, Sept. 30.
 
The following lane closures will be in place during this work:
Monday, Sept. 26 - Thursday, Sept. 29, 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Thursday, Sept. 29 (night) - Left thru lane closed for a 2,000-foot stretch west of the Idylwood Road bridge, 9:30 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Friday, Sept. 30, 9:30 a.m. to noon
Friday, Sept. 30 (night) - Right thru lane closed from the Idylwood Road overpass to the bus ramp exit, 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. Note for bus traffic: The bus lane will be closed to allow trench work across the bus lane along this stretch of the Connector Road. Buses will be shifted into the main traffic lanes prior to the work area, around the work zone, then back into the bus lane to allow them to exit into the West Falls Church transit station.
 Police will be onsite for the lane closings for safety during nighttime work hours.
