Noisy Pile Driving This Week at Subway Station Near Capital One
Construction of new pedestrian walkway.
Neighbor Note: Construction has started on the foundations for the pedestrian pavilions for each of the Tysons Corner Metrorail Stations. Pile driving is already underway at the Tyson East Station which is located at Old Meadow and Dolley Madison Boulevard near Capital One.
Pile driving is very noisy. Steel piles are driven into the soil to build foundations for pavilion structures. The pile driving will be performed between 7 a.m. and 9 p.m. on weekdays and the occasional Saturday.
The pile driving should be completed by Wednesday, weather permitting.
