Speak Out: Who Won the Presidential Debate?

Did the first presidential debate help or hurt Mitt Romney and Barack Obama? Tell us your thoughts.

President Barack Obama and Republican nominee Mitt Romney engaged in their first of three debates Wednesday night in Denver.

While Wednesday's debate was on domestic issues, future meetings — Oct. 16 at Hofstra University in New York and Oct. 22 at Lynn University in Florida — will include both domestic and foreign policy questions.

Tell us - were there any questions you would have liked asked at the Denver debate? Did the debate strengthen or hurt either candidate's campaign? Was there a clear winner?

Nobody knows that, but if you personally believe it, then here is the politifact review, also showing Biden to have been far more truthful than Ryan: http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/article/2012/oct/11/fact-checking-vice-presidential-debate-between-joe/ Also, one particular lie that I was glad to see clarified was this one statement that every Romney pundit (along with Romney and Ryan, themselves) keeps repeating and that is that Obama went on TV instead of meeting with Netanyahu when they were in the same city on the same day. Here is the reality check of that statement: "Obama was in the city on Monday and Tuesday. He taped the interview with The View on Monday and addressed the U.N. on Tuesday. Wednesday was the Jewish holiday of Yom Kippur. Netanyahu planned to be in New York on Thursday and Friday. ...Netanyahu spoke to the U.N. on Thursday, Sept. 27..."

Obama must have had the upper hand and won last night's debate. Placing all the opinions aside - just look at the news coverage. All conservative media appears to be pouncing on the moderator or audience as being 'biased'. Must be Team Romney is deflecting attention from a tough night for its man.

They are complaining because of her inappropriate inerference that seemed to come to the rescue of Obama. It was bad form on her part and worth complaining about, but took nothing away from Romney; he did great.

A clear victory on substance for Obama. Shades of the Cheney/Lieberman debate, in which Lieberman ceded entirely too much ground to Cheney by agreeing with him on everything.
