Fairfax County Animal Shelter Waives Adoption Fees for These Pets

The shelter is also collecting gift boxes.

Many shoppers this week will be looking for after-Christmas deals. But instead of going to a shopping mall, you could make plans to head to the Fairfax County Animal Shelter, where they'll be offering some "hot deals" on pet adoption fees.

You can see photos of all adoptable pets at the shelter here.

The shelter is also asking anyone getting rid of gift boxes from the holidays to drop them off at the shelter. "We'll use them to make enrichment toys for cats, dogs, and small animals. You can drop them off anytime we're open," according to a news release.
