Two Candidates Forums This Week, Y'All Come

Tuesday night in Great Falls, Wednesday night Langley High School

This week you have two chances to see and hear both the candidates running for election for Fairfax county offices and the General Assembly.

Remember the election is Nov. 8, less than a month from now.

Tuesday, October 11th, 7pm-10pm. Great Falls Citizens Association at The Grange  9818 Georgetown Pike Great Falls, Virginia.

Town Meeting election debates will feature:
- Chairman, Board of Supervisors: Sharon Bulova (D) vs. Spike Williams (R)
- Dranesville Supervisor: John Foust  (D) vs. Dennis Husch (R)
- 31st District State Senator: Barbara Favola (D) vs. Caren Merrick (R)
- 34th District House Delegate: Barbara Comstock (R) vs. Pamela Danner (D)

Wednesday, October 12, 7 pm, Langley High School, 

- 31st District State Senator: Barbara Favola (D) vs. Caren Merrick (R)

Peggy Fox, a McLean resident and WTOP reporter, will emcee the forum co-sponsored by the McLean Citizens Association and the Greater McLean Chamber of Commerce. 

The two groups co-sponsored a forum for Fairfax County supervisor and school board candidates Sept. 26.

The 31st Senate District, including most of McLean and all of Great Falls, has been significantly redrawn to include community generally along the Potomac River from Arlington to Loudoun County.  It has the only local election without an incumbent. McLean is considered the swing district in this election.
