2011 is a huge election year for Virginia. The entire Generaly Assembly --- both the House of Delegates and the state senate is up for election. Locally, the entire Fairfax County board of supervisors and the school board are up for election.

That means summertime is fund-raising season for the candidates who need to fatten their bank accounts so they can pay their bills for their campaigns which kick off in earnest after Labor Day.
