Organizes, directs and manages the work of the Transit Services Division which is comprised of the Fairfax Connector and Transportation Marketing Sections and includes approximately 40 full-time employees. The current goal of the Fairfax Connector is to become one of the best bus systems in the U.S. Fairfax County provides buses, capital equipment and facilities for this service, while private contractor(s) provide labor and manage the day-to-day bus operations and maintenance. The Transportation Marketing Section of this Division encourages and facilitates ridesharing, telework, and other travel demand management techniques. Provides clients with information related to the court process and mediation to assess the appropriateness of mediation for the case. Interviews children, parents, family members, school personnel and other relevant parties to ascertain the most appropriate placement for children. Visits homes in order to ascertain the suitability of the home environment for custody and or visitation. Appears in court to testify and to support any recommendations.
