All three of the highest-selling homes in Fairfax County in November were in the McLean and Great Falls area, according to virginiahomes4sale.com.
The top-selling property was at 913 Douglass Drive in the Langley Forest community at $2,775,000, that site reports. Zillow.com and AOL Real Estate have a slightly different sale price of $2,750,000 — but even that is more than 92 percent of the most-recent listed price.
The Douglass Drive property has five beds and seven baths and is 8,085 square feet, according to Zillow. The two-story Colonial home sits on just shy of 0.8 acres.
It features "soaring ceilings and a gourmet's dream kitchen" on the main level, according to Zillow, and its lower level has a billiards room, home theater, art studio, an "in-law suite" with a private entrance and a heated pool.
The home was first listed for $3,195,000 in May by TTR Sotheby's International Realty. The price dropped to $2,995,000 in in July, and the listing was removed Sept. 21. It was listed as sold on Nov. 15, according to Zillow.
According to a blog post by the Belt Team on McLean Patch, contracts for 46 homes in the McLean area and 15 in Great Falls were signed in November.
The average selling price in McLean for the month was $958,194 and in Great Falls, it was $1,061,227.
The second- and third-highest-selling properties in Fairfax County for the month were both in Great Falls, according to virginiaproperties4sale.com.
Ranking No. 2 was 502 River Bend Road at $2,075,000. No. 3 was 10190 Akhtamar Drive at $1,650,000.
