FCPS to Offer College Financial Aid Workshops at Eight Middle Schools in April and May

Among the topics to be covered are financial aid basics, understanding the cost of attending college, saving for college and resources available from FCPS.

Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) and College Access Fairfax will offer workshops on college financial aid to help improve financial aid awareness among middle school parents at eight FCPS middle schools in April and May.  

The workshops are free and are open to any FCPS middle school student and their parents.

Among the topics to be covered are financial aid basics, understanding the cost of attending college, saving for college and resources available from FCPS.

College financial aid workshops will be held on the following dates at these locations:

  • Wednesday, April 2, 7:30 p.m., Lanier Middle School.· 
  • Wednesday, April 9, 7 p.m., Sandburg Middle School.       
  • Tuesday, April 22, 7 p.m., Key Middle School.       
  • Wednesday, April 23, 7:30 p.m., Hughes Middle School.     
  • Tuesday, April 29, 7:30 p.m., Herndon Middle School.      
  • Wednesday, April 30, 7:30 p.m., Lake Braddock Secondary School.       
  • Thursday, May 8, 6:30 p.m., Glasgow Middle School.        
  • Tuesday, May 13, 7:30 p.m., Jackson Middle School.

Translation services are available.  To register, visit College Access Fairfax.  Registration is not required, but will help presenters plan more efficiently.
