Langley High School Sends Seven Students, One Alternate to Virginia Honors Choir

Langley has more students named to the choir than any other Fairfax County school.

Seven students in the Langley High School chorus have been named to the Virginia Honors Choir, and another student was named alternate. 

The following students were chosen:

  • Kathryn Bailey
  • Madeleine Chalk
  • Melissa Donley
  • Ivy Kenton
  • Ariana Kuhnsman
  • Vanessa Strahan
  • Ariana Tayebi
  • Emily Nesbitt (alternate)

A total of 35 students from Fairfax County Public Schools were selected for the choir, which is open to the top 125 singers from around the state, according to a news release. Five students were named alternates.

The students will perform at the Virginia Music Educators Association convention on Nov. 23 at the Homestead in Hot Springs.
