McLean Students in the News: Johnson, Diong, Davis

Keeping up with the accomplishments of students from McLean.

The following preparatory schools, colleges and universities have recently announced these accomplishments by students from McLean.

Brevard College: Dylan Johnson of McLean has been named to the dean's list at Brevard College in Brevard, N.C., for the fall 2013 semester. To be eligible for the dean's list, a student must be enrolled full-time and earn at least a 3.5 grade-point average.

Loomis Chaffee School: Olivia Diong, a sophomore, and junior Leilah Diong, both of McLean, have been named to the fall honor roll at the Loomis Chaffee School in Windsor, Conn. The Loomis Chaffee School is an internationally recognized college preparatory school for grades 9 through 12 that fosters critical thinking and a global perspective in talented students from around the state, the country and the world

University of Delaware: Anne Davis of McLean will study abroad in Costa Rica this winter through the University of Delaware. During this Winter Session, more than 1,000 University of Delaware students will travel to 24 different countries as part of 50 different programs spanning 39 academic subjects. They will pursue up to seven academic credits during five weeks of study. The university is a national leader in study abroad programs. Approximately 35 percent of undergraduate students study outside of the United States on an annual basis.
