Search Continues for McLean High School Principal

Deborah Jackson announced she was leaving the position last month.

More than a month after Deborah Jackson publically announced she was leaving the post as principal of for another job within the Fairfax County school system, her replacement has yet to be found.

In an email to Patch, John Torre, a spokesman for the public school system, wrote, "The goal is to have her successor named later this month."

"Although I will greatly miss the Highlander community, I am quite honored by this appointment and look forward to serving the greater Fairfax County Public Schools community," Jackson wrote in a letter to the community.

The 2012-2013 school year starts on Sept. 4.
