Teen Suicide: Teen-To-Teen Summit on Mental Health Thursday

Event to offer information and support with panelists from area high schools.

A panel of graduates and current students at area high schools will be sharing stories of anxiety and depression during a Teen-to-Teen Mental Health Summit on Thursday.

Several teen suicides at area high schools this school year has led to more discussion and support on student mental health issues. This summit will include the panel discussion from teens, as well as breakout groups for parents and teens facilitated by educators and mental health professionals.

The event is from 7-9 p.m. Thursday at Alden Theatre, 1234 Ingleside Ave. in McLean. The event is free, but seating is limited. You can register here.

The event is hosted by the Safe Community Coalition and The Josh Anderson Foundation.
