Whiz Kid: DECA First Place Winners from McLean
Organization for students interested in business careers
McLean and Langley students were among 40 Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) students who earned first place finishes at the 2011 Virginia DECA* State Leadership Conference recently held in Norfolk. Chantilly and Marshall High Schools led all FCPS schools with five first place finishes.
First place winners include:
Langley High School: Alicia Underhill, Hotel and Lodging Management; Lena Welch, Marketing Management; and William Flexner and Evan Rosenblum, Sports and Entertainment Team.
McLean High School: Robert Koch, Sports and Entertainment Marketing.
*DECA prepares high school and college students for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality and management.
