New and used sports equipment, the latest trends in exercise equipment and information, and more — the Be Fit McLean Outdoor Expo is set for next Saturday, April 27, at the Old Firehouse, 1440 Chain Bridge Road.
The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and charges a $5 admission. Children 12 and younger are free.

The Be Fit McLean Outdoor Expo is in its third year, and organizers say this year promises to the best one yet. Come to the Old Firehouse in downtown McLean to try out the latest trends in the outdoor industry and get geared up for spring.

Looking for a low-cost introduction to the world of mountain sports? Then hit up the gear swap to get a killer deal on used gear.
Also back this year is the Dutch Oven Cook-Off. Charcoal will be lit at 10 a.m., and contestants have three hours to prepare for the judges delicious meals you never thought possible in a piece of cast iron.
Event goers will get to sample the goods after judging has taken place. This is an amateur event, so don't be afraid to try it for the first time. If interested, submit an application and compete for great prizes.
Participants will also jam to live mountain music and pump out on the 30-inch rock wall from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Food will be available for purchase on site, or you can visit a local restaurant within walking distance from the event.
Check the weather and bring your rain gear if needed, because this event is going on rain or shine.
