McLean Softball Majors Advance to Little League World Series Final

The team beat New Jersey's Robbinsville Little League 6-3 Tuesday night.

The McLean Softball Majors All Star team advanced to the final of the Little League World Series Tuesday night with a 6-3 win over the Robbinsville Little League from New Jersey.

McLean came out swinging (literally) and established dominance early on during the second inning, putting up five runs against New Jersey's single. New Jersey later grabbed two runs in the fourth and made an attempt to overtake the Majors with the bases loaded and two outs in the top of the fifth with the score at 5-3.

McLean's Jamie Wang got the final out the Majors needed to end the inning, and the Majors scored another run in the bottom of the fifth to extend their lead to 6-3. The Majors were able to hold New Jersey off and cruised easily to victory in the sixth inning to secure their spot in the final.

McLean will face the winner of the Arizona vs. Puerto Rico game in the final on Wednesday.
