Virginia High School Football Playoffs: Langley Hosts Stonewall Jackson on Friday

The Saxons advanced this weekend thanks to a 28-21 win over Battlefield.

Langley will host the Stonewall Jackson Raiders on Friday for the next round of Virginia high school football playoffs following the Saxons' 28-21 win over the Battlefield Bobcats this past weekend at home.

Langley plays at 7:30 p.m. Friday in McLean. The fifth-seeded Saxons face the No. 13 seed in the Raiders, who advanced thanks to an upset win over Washington-Lee.

The Saxons' win last Friday was thanks largely to a solid defense, plus an end-zone interception by outside linebacker Brian Pitts with only 10 seconds left on the clock, according to the Washington Post.
