Kids Paint in McLean Central Park Sunday Afternoon

Part of MPA 50th anniversary celebration

The McLean Project for the Arts continues to celebrate its 50th anniversary around town with fun things for the neighbors.

This Sunday afternoon at the McLean Central Park Gazebo* art-lovers of all ages are invited to paint, draw and have fun to celebrate MPA's 50 years of "connecting art and community" with its renowned art classes, workshops and art education.

Abrakadoodle will conduct art projects for kids of all ages and everyone can decorate and sign MPA's big 50th birthday banner. Artists who would like to paint "en plein air" are encouraged to bring their supplies and add to the fun.

And there will be birthday cupcakes and cookies, too!

Painting in the Park is free and open to the public from 1-4 p.m. Rain or shine.

*McLean Central Park is located in downtown McLean at the intersection of Old Dominion Drive and Dolley Madison Boulevard.
