McLean, Langley Students, Coach Named to Washington Post All-Met Teams

Langley golf coach commutes from Richmond

Several Langley and McLean players were named to Washington Post All-Met spring sports teams Sunday.

They are the best of the best:

Baseball: Josh Sborz, McLean, Player of the Year. Senior pitcher-infielder and repeat All-Met and Virginia AAA Northern Region player of the year, according to the Washington Post.

Lacrosse: Sean Ahearn, Langley, First Team

               Erin Long, Langley, Second Team

Golf: Al Berg, Langley, Coach of the Year. He retired two years ago from teaching but commuters from Richmond to coach the golf team, the Post reported.

       Chris Brugge, Langley, First Team

Rowing: Kris Hobbs, McLean, First Team

             Melissa Frazee, McLean, First Team

Softball: Allison Wilhelm, McLean, Second Team

Soccer:  Rhys Howard, Langley, First Team

            Michael Russo, McLean, First Team

            Carolina Gray, McLean, First Team

            Oliver de Thier, Langley, Second Team

Tennis: Josh Hublitz, Potomac School, First Team
