Kids Concert for a Cause: 'Bands for Bikes' Coming Up June 7

Three bands will perform and bicycles can be dropped off from noon to 8 p.m. on June 7.

Two local middle school boys are organizing a kids concert next weekend in McLean, called Bands for Bikes. The event will benefit Wheels to Africa, a youth-led, all-volunteer 501c(3) that collects used bikes for needy children in Africa.

Longtime friends Morgan Poirier and Jack Lichtenstein, students at Cooper Middle School, have teamed up to organize this event at the Old Fire House Center in McLean on Saturday, June 7.

The entry fee is $10 and three bands will be performing: Static, The Unexpected and Scott's Run. The entry fee includes entertainment, refreshments and prizes.
