Fire Volunteers Raise $1,000 to Repair Santa's "Sleigh"

Repairs needed for vintage fire truck

The McLean Volunteer Fire Department has received $1,000 so they can fix up Santa's "sleigh" between now and December.

McLean resident and outstanding volunteer Clark Tyler asked for a $1,000 grant for the volunteer fire department from the company building the express toll lanes down the middle of the Beltway.

Clark requested the money to pay for needed repairs to the antique fire truck. The engine makes appearances at many community events and neighborhood picnics and is the vehicle of choice for Santa’s Decembers rides through McLean.
