VOLUNTEERS AT: .

This is a food bank, clothing and furniture store located in the basement of , across from Langley Shopping Center.

HIS JOB FOR SHARE

Hunter considers himself a 'Concierge' of services to the 30-40 clients who come in to SHARE food bank daily.

Share Food Bank feeds approximately 80 individuals & their families per week.

He takes a practical and hands-on approach to designing and implementing solutions that capture SHARE clients most pressing needs.

He is the Vice President on SHARE'S Board of Directors.

WHY HE VOLUNTEERS AT SHARE:

I am incredibly fortunate in life.  When you are so blessed it's time to give back.

SHARE is in a real struggle to keep pace with the demand for food in our community.

The number of clients seeking the basic necessity of food from SHARE has almost doubled every year for the last four years. Donations are dwindling as demand for food has increased.

WHAT HE GETS BACK FROM VOLUNTEERING:

I know I make a huge difference. I can see the anguish we take away from the families that are really struggling in this economy.

This is also an extension of my own social network.  My great friend and co-chair of the SHARE Food Room Terese Caplan, whole passion for giving is unparallelled and infectious.

HUNTER'S HOBBIES:

Hunter loves travel and travel photography.  He plans a trip for an African Safari in Botswana soon.  He will be shooting with his camera, not a gun.

His travels have taken him and his camera to the remote corners of the world. His dream:One day have his work featured in National Geographic, which he refers to as 'The Holy Grail".
