Halloween at Amoo's, Christmas Tree Pre-Orders, Zoning Event and More This Week in McLean
Five things in and around McLean this week.
Food for Trees: A.V. Remodeling and Construction & Intellectual Homes is accepting pre-orders for its fifth annual Food for Trees drive. The program, which sells Fraser Firs in exchange for a pledge of $35 in food donations, will benefit Share of McLean and the food bank at McLean High School. All the details are here.
Spend an Evening with Great Falls Studios Photographers: Moderated by Ed Behrens, several Great Falls Studios photographers will share the secrets of what makes for a great photograph and take questions from the audience. The event is 7 p.m. Monday at the Great Falls Community Library, 9830 Georgetown Pike. More info here.
Zoning Presentation: The McLean Citizens Association will sponsor an evening of presentations by Fairfax County staff on a proposed zoning amendment that would permit residential studio apartments in all zoning districts. Question and answer session to follow the presentations, which begin at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at McLean High School. More info here.

Halloween at Amoo's: Amoo's Kabob House and Chef Seb will serve a fun menu Thursday night for Halloween. The night also features a costume contest — winner eats free! More info here.
Day of the Dead Celebration: The Arlington Arts Center will host its 10th annual Dia De Los Muertos — or, Day of the Dead — Celebration at 6 p.m. Friday. It'll feature dancing, a live mariachi band, Mexican hot chocolate and "bread of the dead" — plus, an exhibition featuring 12 artists. Free.
