Great Falls Art Tour, Tastes from Tehran to Istanbul and More This Weekend

Go on a Culinary Journey: Make plans to be at Amoo's House of Kabob, 6271 Old Dominion Drive, at 7 p.m. Friday to go on "A Culinary Journey from Tehran to Istanbul." Do the Time Warp: Dammit, Janet, why not catch a screening of "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" this weekend? Hamilton Live, 600 14th Street NW in DC, is showing the flick at 10 p.m. Saturday. Admission is free.

Back to the '70s: Get ready to boogie down Friday night at the State Theatre in Falls Church at "The World's Greatest '70s Experience." Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show begins at 9 p.m. Tickets are $12 in advance or $15 at the door. The Right On Band will perform songs from the '70s. Saturday night, "The Furlough Party" is a free show featuring Crooked Crow and Joe Rathbone and the Mercy Alliance.

Great Falls Art Tour: The Great Falls Studios 10th Annual Art Tour is 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. The Great Falls Community Library, 9830 Georgetown Pike, will serve as the headquarters for the self-guided tour, billed as a driving adventure to studios sprinkled along the roads of Great Falls.More information here.

Spooky Parks: Fairfax County Parks Authority is hosting several Halloween events, including a weekend full of activities at Frying Pan Farm Park. There will be standard farm harvesting events, including milking cows and goats and watching the cider press. There will also be a fall carnival with games, rides and fair food. Costs and times vary depending on activities. Through Sunday. 2709 West Ox Road, Herndon. Also at Fairfax Parks on Saturday: Preschool Pumpkins in the Park at Lake Fairfax Park and Fear-less Fest at Hidden Oaks Nature Center.
