I just checked the banned list and although the limit is 7 letters, which means some would have toRead More be shortened, there is nothing on the list that looks anything like Christian, Jewish, Islamic, or otherwise. So at the moment they appear to be allowed. However, Jew is banned, Jesus, God, and Mohammed are not. Jihad and KKK are banned. consistent it is not.

How about telling us something WGAS about like Obama sending 300 troops to POLAND and 200 to aRead More Nevada Ranch!
Alex Viecelli April 19, 2014 at 08:18 pm
The world would be a much better place if we were all more tolerant of everyone's religious beliefsRead More or lack of them. I may not agree with her but a do believe in the 1st amendment. This is what happends when you let government regulate every part of your life.

The Season of Easter is the high point of the Christian Church year. It is a time of praise, asRead More Christians glorify the risen Christ. The scripture readings proclaim the power of the resurrection that gives strength in suffering, unity in diversity, consolation in sorrow, perseverance in adversity and faith in times of doubt. Through his death, burial and resurrection, Jesus paid the penalty for sin, thus gifting for all who believe in Him eternal life in Christ Jesus. “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him” (John 3:16-17).

I thought this was beautiful!
Todd Richissin (Editor) April 19, 2014 at 09:59 am
I agree, Barbara. A wedding is for celebrating, and from the reaction of the newlyweds andRead More congregation, this looks like a good start to any marriage.

I love the people who have nothing to add to the conversation so they throw either Obama or gunRead More control in. Either subject are worth debating at another time. But this conversation has nothing to do with either.

Given all the problems and sleaziness on the Board of MWAA, it is hard to sort out what contractingRead More and construction screwups may be attributable to Mr. Nowakowski and which to the Board or others. Nowakowski was often unresponsiive in sharing information with and engaging in dialogue with the community. Change at that position may be good idea for all concerned. Now replace Tom Davis with someone less blatantly political and maybe phase two will go more smoothly.
Amy April 19, 2014 at 04:16 pm
It is not "months" behind schedule; it is years behind schedule. When I moved out toRead More Reston in 2007, the first phase was supposed to open in 2010. Then they revised the schedule and the budget and said it was supposed to open in the fall of 2013. Since then, there have been repeated pushbacks of the opening date. Now they're saying that a "critical" communications link doesn't work and will take a year to replace, but the line can open without it. That makes no sense. Merriam-Webster defines "critical" in this context as meaning "indispensable, vital". So if this system is really critical, I would now not expect the line to open for another year at least. In fact, at this point, I would be surprised if it ever actually opens at all.
jbs1958 April 19, 2014 at 09:02 pm
He should have been FIRED long ago. That's how you reward incredibly poor planning. This is aRead More bigger fiasco than Obamacare. That line should be OPEN now, no ifs, ands, or buts. Every day that goes by with those stations built and all the access built and the trains available is a colossal waste of time and money.

and another hilarious story has gone through the grapevine - that JW's ex-wife found a script toRead More Viagra. I guess napoleon has a hard time keeping UP with his young ladies at Urban Allure.

I understand that with success comes notoriety. So while I am a not surprised by the level ofRead More interest you all have in that family, I am surprised that it is not just left at that. I am surprised that people from this area would resort to posting elementary school comments. I thought we were a little more refined than that. So many comments about the father, his family or employees and not one comment about if the kid is ok? If the father specifically did something to you and you want to come out and share your experience of why you think he’s this or that, then go ahead. But to sit here and ambiguously post comments about things you heard, that have no real impact on you, makes you look childish or jealous

NO -----SHE DESERVES WHAT SHE GOT..- She STABBED STABBED STABBED..she should have gotten the deathRead More penalty.....but michigan has only life in prison. Don't have sympathy for her just because she's a woman. She's a cold blooded killer and deserves what she got.
RON Ostrodamus April 19, 2014 at 03:11 am
The death penalty certainly cuts down on the record number of incarcerations in America. Enough ofRead More this liberal crap on humane punishment. The word "humane' never enters the minds of these cold blooded killers. What is going to happen if another bombing takes place outside of Texas? What is going to happen with the next airplane hijacking, or Boston?
DDB April 19, 2014 at 07:29 am
Don, the comments were made at sentencing, not at trialso it hss no bearing on her conviction.

Well, that's just about right, the average of the top 10 CEO salaries in VA is 390x that of theRead More average worker salary of $45,000. US Avg is 475x. Don't know why the average worker is complaining about wage stagnation and lack of jobs. Poor CEOs must work so hard to keep all that money out of the tax man's hands and the grubby hands of the worker! How can they possibly survive otherwise?
WCSC screen grab shows charges against worker.
Igor April 19, 2014 at 09:39 am
HF the charges were dropped. There is a problem because and I quote from the Patch"Lewis saysRead More he never noticed "No Free Re-Fill" signs and admits he had refilled his drink without paying on other occasions" and "On-site construction worker Chris Lewis told WCSC News he didn't know refills at the VA Medical Center in downtown Charleston weren't free."Where did you read that he knew he had to pay for it? No where in the article does he said he knew it.

Rae Anne Resident April 19, 2014 at 04:31 pm
It sure helps that I'm a little old lady because I just bring my cup from home from the last time IRead More was at a store. The last time I paid for a drink at costco was probably before the terrorists attacked us on 9-11. What's the big deal here, it's only soda? If this guy wants free drinks, it's none of your business, and non of the business of that nosey cop neither. You people don't get it, it's flat out entrapment by having the soda available. What's next, you expect me not to use my dead sister's handicap placard too?
