Wolf Raises More Than $750K, Top Donors From McLean

Incumbent congressman has more than five times campaign funds as challenger Cabral's $138,054.

With the election less than two months away, politican campaigns are heating up, including Virginia's 10th congressional district race. Both candidates in the race are keeping busy. Local Democrats gathered Sunday in McLean for a fundraising reception to benefit Democrat Kristin Cabral, who is running for Congress. Meanwhile, incumbent Congressman Frank R. Wolf, Jr., spent his Saturday campaigning in Prince William County's Haymarket, where he was getting to know some of his new constituents. McLean resident Cabral, a 46-year-old Harvard Law grad, federal prosecutor and mother of two, is running against Republican Wolf, 73, of Vienna. Wolf and his wife have …

He has identified with Republican Presidents throughout his tenure in Congress. He has not introduced major legislation and has voted against legislation supporting veterans benefits, women's health, unemployment benefits. …   more ›

The courtyard next to the Leesburg Town Hall on Saturday served as the venue for Democrat Kristin Cabral to officially launch her campaign in the 10th congressional district against incumbent U.S. Rep. Frank Wolf (R). Cabral, a McLean resident, made her gender a primary theme, likely one of the reasons Clarke County School Board member Barbara Lee spoke during the event. In Clarke County, women hold two of five seats on the board of supervisors and three of five seats on the school board as well as serve as treasurer, commonwealth’s attorney, commissioner of the revenue and clerk of the court. Women also hold five seats on two town councils in Clarke County and the state Senate seat that represents the county. “We know and appreciate good…

It is time for change in Virginia's 10th Congressional District and Kristin Cabral is the perfect choice to lead the way forward. As my friend, Wes Callender, points out: "Congressman Frank Wolf on the Issues; Are these Fairfax values?? Wolf is widely perceived as a "moderate" but his record reveals that he is Right-Conservative. There's nothing like a voting record to show the truth! Rated 0% by…   more ›
