by Breauna Johnson Girl Scout Cookies are on sale in the Greater Washington Region. Girl Scouts are taking orders now for delivery of cookies starting Feb 6. Girl Scout Cookie booths outside local stores will run from February 22 - March 24, 2013. Each box of Girl Scout Cookies cost $4.00 with all proceeds staying in the Greater Washington Region to support local Girl Scout activities. What started as a bake sale in 1917 has grown into the largest girl-led entrepreneurial business in the nation. Last year in the Greater Washington Region, over 4.5 million boxes of Girl Scout Cookies were sold.
