White House Guests. McLean neighbors invited to the lovely White House State Dinner Wednesday night for the British Prime Minister included  Sen. Richard Lugar, R-Ind, and wife Christine. Terry McAuliffe, former DNC chair, and wife Dorothy. Honorable Antonin Scalia, Associate Justice of the United States Supreme Court and Mrs. Maureen M. Scalia. They were among 350 guests that included actor George Clooney, Anna Wintour, the editor in chief of Vogue; and the investor Warren Buffett. Three McLean neighbors were among the 400 wealthiest men and women in the U.S. named Thursday by Forbes Magazine as the Forbes 400. The price of admission to the Forbes 400: a net worth above $1 billion. Here are the neighbors by their ranking and net worth: 20. Forrest Mars, $13.8 billion. Yes this is Mars Inc., the candy company that is headquartered on Elm Street in downtown McLean. Their address is a bland office building with a locked door. Forbes listed Big Horn, Wyo., as the address for Forrest Mars, but he also has a McLean address. 139. William Conway, $2.7 billion. Co-founder and managing director of The Carlyle Group.
