Funeral Service for McLean Fourth-Grader Set for Saturday in Georgia

Services will be held Saturday in Rome, GA, for Conor Tierney, 10, a fourth-grader at Franklin Sherman Elementary School who died in a boating accident July 6 while vacationing with his family in Georgia. His family lives in McLean but is from Plainville, GA. Conor was born May 31, 2001 in Ft. Campbell, KY. He was a member of Scout Troop 667 in McLean. Conor was on the McLean Lions wrestling team and was so proud that he had completed his training for the fifth-grade safety patrol "Kiss and Ride" student drop off, according to the obituary published by the Daniel's Funeral Home of Rome.
